The Sounding Board is a program created as a means to get members more involved in the development of ASDS and ASDSA programs, services, policies and new initiatives.

Members will be asked to serve for two years and all that’s required is for you to respond to surveys sent via email.

We will be looking for a cross-section of the membership in populating the pool of The Sounding Board participants. Typically, an email survey containing a half dozen or so questions is sent on regular basis.

Committees and work groups are responsible for developing action plans, implementing Society / Association programs and making recommendations to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. The appointments typically span three years and begin with the Annual Meeting in the fall.

Throughout the year, work is accomplished through conference calls, via email communications and on occasion by in-person meetings that occur in conjunction with either the ASDS Annual Meeting or the AAD Winter Meeting. We make every effort to hold at least one in-person meeting annually.

Should you be appointed to a committee or work group, I hope you will approach the task with a strong commitment to make ASDS and ASDSA the best recognized and highest quality organization in medicine.
