The Future Leaders Network creates opportunities for young and mid-career professionals to enhance their leadership skills and prepare them to become the next generation of leaders in dermatological surgery.

The one-year curriculum includes programs for mentors and young leaders, and incorporates leadership and project management training exercises working with a professional facilitator. Hands-on learning through work on a focused project impacting ASDS and dermatological surgery helps put skills learned into action.

Choose from Three Tracks to Enhance Your Leadership Skills

  • Implement a project that supports the priorities of ASDS, ASDSA or the Dermatologic Surgery community at-large through the Project-based FLN Program.
  • Develop your knowledge about the policymaking process, learn about ASDSA priorities, and how to have meaningful influence on the legislative and regulatory process through the Advocacy FLN Program.
  • Develop the skills necessary to become a solid reviewer, understanding the journal review process, how to formulate effective author feedback, managing conflicts, identifying study design flaws, and much more through the Journal Review FLN Program.
