The deadline to submit articles to Dermatologic Surgery to qualify for the 2023 competition is Dec. 30.

Once accepted for publication, primary authors may apply to the competition by May 15, 2023.

ASDS seeks to increase the number of review articles published in Dermatologic Surgery on topics of broad scientific interest or highly focused clinical topics related to therapy, diagnosis or other aspects of dermatologic surgery practice.

Unlike other writing contests that provide you with a list of topics to choose from, the goal of the Review Article Incentive Program is to encourage authors to imagine new ways of looking at literature and find unique ways to focus on a single topic.

Winning submissions will receive complimentary general registration to the ASDS Annual Meeting, as well as a complimentary two-night hotel stay. Up to three awards will be given each year at the discretion of the judges.

Manuscripts must first be accepted for publication in Dermatologic Surgery before you can submit an application for the Review Article Incentive Program. Writing contest winners are not eligible for other ASDS Annual Meeting resident scholarships.
