ASDS seeks to increase the number of review articles published in Dermatologic Surgery on topics of broad scientific interest or highly focused clinical topics related to therapy, diagnosis or other aspects of dermatologic surgery practice.
Unlike other writing contests that provide a list of topics from which to choose, the goal of the Review Article Incentive Program (RAIP) is to encourage authors to imagine new ways of looking at literature and find unique ways to focus on a single topic.
Manuscripts must follow the Dermatologic Surgery Author Guidelines and be accepted for publication before members can apply to RAIP. Writing contest winners are not eligible for other ASDS Annual Meeting scholarships. View the application for complete eligibility details.
Up to two awards will be given at the discretion of the ASDS Journal Awards Work Group. Winners will receive complimentary general registration to the ASDS Annual Meeting, a two-night stay at the official conference hotel and a photo with the ASDS President following the Membership Meeting.
