Advocacy Activities

ASDSA advocacy activities includes information that members need to make an impact. From our model legislation (The Medical Spa Safety Act, PULSE and SUNucate), external liaisons in organizations that support our message and assistance to state dermatologic societies, this section has all you need to know about how ASDSA continually advocates on behalf of dermatologic surgeons and their patients.

SUNucate Coalition

In order to protect students from dangerous UV exposure while outdoors at school or at camps, ASDSA created the SUNucate Coalition.

PULSE Coalition

In order to strengthen efforts to promote safe laser use, ASDSA launched the PULSE (Patients/Physicians United for Laser Safety and Efficacy) Coalition to protect patients who undergo procedures that utilize laser and energy-based devices.

Medical Spa Safety Coalition

The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Association (ASDSA) has launched the Medical Spa Safety Coalition to bolster efforts to protect patients who visit medical spas for cosmetic medical procedures.
