Program Overview:

This program seeks to build and maintain emerging leaders who are skilled in health policy to positively impact the field of dermatologic surgery for both patients and practices.

Interested members are encouraged to apply for the Health Policy Fellowship Program. This program offers an early career dermatologic surgeon (a member within 10 years of finishing residency or a fellowship) first-hand experience in the federal and state health policy areas that are critical to members and their patients.

Applications are due May 15th.

Health Policy Fellow Details:

  • Interested in health policy, advocacy, practice affairs, politics and the external environment related to dermatologic surgery and its patients.

  • Become an Ex Officio member of the three ASDSA Work Groups – Policy Priorities; State Affairs; and Federal Affairs.

  • Select an area of interest related to ASDSA policies and positions to help further our knowledge to share with members.

  • Must be a current member of the American Medical Association, your state medical society and state dermatologic society. May join concurrently with this application.

  • Attend the ASDS Annual Meeting - November 5 - 8
