Welcome to the Skin Cancer Takes Friends page!

Here you can learn more about the program, and locate a physician in your area who will provide a free skin cancer screening.

About the program
May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Skin cancer prevention and detection is a concern for us all. For the fourth year, ASDS has partnered with Procter & Gamble’s Olay brand to promote Skin Cancer Awareness Month and provide important education and awareness of this widespread dermatologic disease.

“Skin Cancer Takes Friends,” is a public service campaign that encourages women and men to get regular skin cancer screenings. ASDS member dermatologic surgeons volunteer to provide free skin cancer screenings during months of May, June and July.

Screenings take only a couple of minutes, are painless, easy and private.
