As a new initiative through the ASDS Future Leaders Network, the ASDS is requesting the cooperation of all dermatology fellowship directors in the creation of the DermSurg Fellowship Finder.  The DermSurg Fellowship Finder will serve as a Web-based resource of demographic information on all Mohs, procedural, cosmetic, and laser surgery-based dermatology fellowships in the US. 

The purpose of the DermSurg Fellowship Finder is to create a single source of information on dermatologic surgery fellowships for residents and dermatologists seeking subspecialty training.  The website will include both contact information and descriptions of the fellowships to aid potential applicants in their search. 

If you are a dermatologic surgery fellowship director or have recently completed a dermatologic surgery fellowship, you are urged to complete a short questionnaire regarding your fellowship’s demographic information and affiliation.  Completion of the questionnaire should take approximately 5-10 minutes.  Your cooperation is sincerely appreciated. The idea for the DermSurg Fellowship Finder was conceived as a joint effort between mentor Carolyn Jacob, MD, and mentee Melanie Palm, MD, MBA.  Their project is one of six piloted projects through the 2010-2011 ASDS Future Leaders Network—a one-year program geared to improving leadership skills in young physicians through mentorship, leadership training and project guidance.
